Im Namen Gottes, des Allerbarmers, des Begnadenden

An alle jungen Menschen in Europa und Nordamerika! 

Die jüngsten Ereignisse in Frankreich und ähnliche Vorfälle in einigen anderen westlichen Ländern haben mich davon überzeugt, dass ich euch direkt diesbezüglich ansprechen sollte. Ich wende mich an euch junge Menschen, nicht um eure Eltern außer Acht zu lassen, sondern deshalb, weil ich die Zukunft eures Volkes und eurer Heimat in euren Händen liegen und in euren Herzen ein vitaleres und sensibleres Verlangen nach der Wahrheit sehe. Mit diesen Zeilen wende ich mich auch nicht an eure Politiker und Regierungsverantwortlichen, denn ich bin mir sicher, dass sie bewusst den Weg der Politik von dem Weg der Aufrichtigkeit und Rechtschaffenheit getrennt haben.

Ich spreche zu euch über den Islam und insbesondere über das Bild, dass sie euch vom Islam vorlegen. Seit zwei Jahrzehnten, d.h. ungefähr nach dem Zerfall der Sowjetunion, hat es zahlreiche Bestrebungen gegeben, diese große Religion als einen beängstigenden Feind darzustellen. Die Heraufbeschwörung von Angst und Ablehnung und deren Missbrauch blicken bedauerlicherweise auf eine lange Vergangenheit in der politischen Geschichte des Westens zurück. Ich möchte hier nicht auf die verschiedenen Ängste, die bislang den westlichen Völkern eingeflößt worden sind, eingehen. Ihr selber könnt mit einem kurzen Blick auf die jüngsten kritischen Geschichtsstudien erkennen, dass in der neuen Geschichtsbeschreibung das unaufrichtige und betrügerische Verhalten westlicher Staaten gegenüber anderen Völkern und Kulturen auf der Welt gerügt worden ist. Die Geschichte Europas und Amerikas schämt sich wegen dem Skalventum. Sie schaut verlegen wegen der Kolonialzeit und wegen dem Unrecht an Farbigen und Nicht-Christen zu Boden. Eure Forscher und Historiker erklären aufrichtig, dass sie sich wegen des Blutvergießens schämen, welches im Namen der Religion zwischen Katholiken und Protestanten oder im Namen der Nationalität und der Volkszugehörigkeit im Ersten und Zweiten Weltkrieg geschehen ist.

Dieses Geständnis verdient von Natur aus Anerkenung. Ich will auch gar nicht die Geschichte tadeln, wenn ich einen Ausschnitt aus dieser langen Liste nenne, sondern ich möchte, dass ihr eure Intellektuellen fragt, warum das kollektive Gewissen im Westen immer erst mit einer Verzögerung von mehreren Jahrzehnten und manchmal mehreren Jahrhunderten aufwacht. Warum ist die Korrektur des kollektiven Gewissens immer auf die weit zurückliegende Vergangenheit gerichtet und nicht auf die aktuellen Probleme? Warum wird in wichtigen Dingen wie der Begegnung mit der islamischen Kultur und Denkweise eine allgemeine Informiertheit verhindert?

Ihr wisst ja, dass Herabsetzung und Hervorrufung von Hass und fiktiver Angst gegenüber „Anderem" die Grundlage für alle ungerechten Bestrebungen nach Profit und Vorteilen ist. Nun möchte ich, dass ihr euch selber fragt, warum diesmal die alte Politik der Angstmache und Verbreitung von Hass in einem derartig beispiellosen Ausmaß den Islam und die Muslime ins Visier genommen hat?

Warum ist das internationale Machtsystem von heute bestrebt, das islamische Denken an den Rand und in die Passivität zu drängen? Welche Sinngebungen und Werte gibt es denn beim Islam, die dem Konzept der Großmächte in die Quere kommen, und welche Interessen werden durch die falsche Darstellung des Islams denn gedeckt? Meine erste Bitte lautet daher, dass ihr nach den Motiven dieser großangelegten Schwarzmalerei über den Islam forscht.

Meine zweite Bitte ist die, dass ihr gegenüber der Flut von Vorurteilen und Hetzpropaganda, versucht, euch direkt und unmittelbar mit dieser Religion vertraut zu machen. Der gesunde Verstand befiehlt, dass ihr zumindest wisst, wovor ihr flieht und euch fürchtet und von welcher Beschaffenheit es ist. Ich bestehe nicht darauf, dass ihr meine oder irgendeine andere Deutung des Islams akzeptiert. Ich sage nur: Lasst nicht zu, dass euch, ausgehend von böswilligen und schmutzigen Motive, diese lebendige und die heutige Welt beeinflussende Wahrheit präsentiert wird. Gestattet nicht, dass sie euch heuchlerisch die Terroristen, die sie selber angeheuert haben, als Repräsentanten des Islams vorstellen. Lernt den Islam über die echten Quellen und die Quellen aus erster Hand kennen. Werdet mit dem Islam durch den Koran und die Biografie ihres großen Propheten vertraut.

Ich möchte euch an dieser Stelle gerne fragen, ob ihr euch bislang schon direkt an den Koran der Muslime gewandt habt? Habt ihr die Verhaltensweise des Propheten des Islams und seine menschlichen und moralischen Lehren studiert? Habt ihr bislang außer über die Medien auch aus anderen Quellen über die Botschaft des Islams erfahren? Habt ihr euch jemals gefragt, wie und aufgrund welcher Werte dieser Islam mehrere Jahrhunderte hintereinander die größte wissenschaftliche und geistige Zivilisation der Welt hervorbrachte und die besten Gelehrten und Denker großzog?

Ich bitte euch nicht zuzulassen, dass sie durch abwertende und einfältige Maskenbilder zwischen euch und der Wahrheit eine gefühlsgeladene Trennmauer errichten und euch die Möglichkeit rauben, sich unvoreingenommen ein Urteil zu bilden.

In unserer Zeit, in der die Kommunikationsmittel die geografischen Grenzen überwunden haben, solltet ihr nicht zulassen, dass man euch in künstliche geistige Grenzen einsperrt. Auch wenn kein Einzelner die entstandenen Klüfte ausfüllen kann, so kann doch jeder von euch für die eigene Erkenntnis und die Aufklärung seiner Umgebung eine Brücke des Denkens und der Gerechtigkeit über diesen Klüften errichten.

Dieser bewusst vorausgeplante Konflikt zwischen dem Islam und euch jungen Menschen ist nicht angenehm , aber er kann eurem wissbegierigen und suchenden Geist neue Denkaufgaben geben. Durch Bemühung um eine Antwort auf diese Fragen tut sich vor euch eine wertvolle Gelegenheit zur Entdeckung neuer Wahrheiten auf. Deshalb lasst diese Gelegenheit für das richtige und vorurteilfreies Islamverständnis nicht aus der Hand gleiten. Vielleicht werden dann dank eures Verantwortungsbewusstseins gegenüber der Wahrheit die kommenden Generationen weniger beschämt und mit einem ruhigeren Gewissen über diesen Abschnitt der Geschichte der Beziehungen des Westens zum Islam schreiben können.

“Fransadakı son hadisələr və digər qərb ölkələrində baş vermiş buna oxşar hadisələrdən sonra əmin oldum ki, bu barədə sözümü sizə birbaşa deməliyəm. Mən sözlərimi siz cavanlara ünvanlayıram.

Buna görə deyil ki, sizin ata və analarınızı görməməzlikdən gəlirəm. Səbəb budur ki, millətinizin, torpaqlarınızın gələcəyini sizin əllərinizdə görür və həqiqət axtarışı hissinin sizin qəlblərinizdə daha canlı və hətta aydın olduğunu bilirəm.

Bu məktubumda sözümü sizin siyasətçilərinizə və dövlət başçılarınıza ünvanlamıram.

Çünki onların bilərəkdən siyasət yolunu sədaqət və düzlük yolundan ayırdıqlarına inanıram.

Mənim sözüm sizinlə xüsusi olaraq İslam barədə və İslamdan sizin üçün yaratdıqları sima barədə olacaq.

İki onillik bundan öncədən (sovet hökumətinin dağılmasından sonra) ta bu vaxta kimi bu böyük dini qorxunc düşmən şəklində göstərmək üçün çoxlu təlaşlar ediblər.

Təəssüf ki, qorxu və nifrət hisslərini təhrik etməyin və bundan faydalanmağın qərbin siyasi tarixində uzun keçmişi vardır.

Mən burada indiyə qədər qərb millətlərinə təlqin olunan müxtəlif "qorxulardan” söz açmaq istəmirəm.

Siz son dövrlərdə yazılmış tarixi tənqidləri mütaliə etməklə görəcəksiniz ki, yeni tarixi baxışlarda qərbin digər dünya millətlərinə və mədəniyyətlərə qarşı etdiyi xəyanətkar və yalançı rəftar sərt tənqid olunmuşdur.

Avropanın tarixi quldarlıq dövründən daha utandırıcıdır. Müstəmləkə zamanından başlamış qara dərililərə və qeyri xristianlara qarşı olan zorakılıq xəcalətverici haldır. Sizin tədqiqatçılarınız və tarixçiləriniz məzhəb adına, katolik ve protestant arasında olan və ya millət və irq adına birinci, ikinci dünya müharibəsində tökülən qanlarla bağlı utanclarını dərin şəkildə etiraf edirlər. 

Bunun özü təqdirəlayiqdir. Mənim də məqsədim bu böyük fürsətdə tarixi tənqid etmək deyil. Əslində sizdən istəyim budur ki, öz ziyalılarınızdan soruşasınız, niyə qərbdə ümumi vicdanın oyanması həmişə on illərlə və bəzən yüz illərlə təxirə düşür?! 

Niyə yenidən baxış günün məsələlərinə deyil, kecmişə aid olmalıdır?!

Niyə mühüm mövzulardan biri olan islam təfəkkürü və mədəniyyəti ilə ümumi tanışlığın qarşısı alınır? Siz yaxşı bilirsiniz ki, təhqir, nifrət yaratmaq və “başqalarından” qorxu hissləri, müstəmləkəçilərin mənafeləri üçün müştərək zəminədir.

İndi istəyirəm özünüz-özünüzdən soruşasınız ki, niyə keçmişin qorxunc və nifrət dolu siyasəti bu dəfə görülməmiş həddə İslam və müsəlmanları hədəfə alıb?!

Niyə dünyada qüdrət quruculuğu islam təfəkkürünün haşiyədə və fəaliyyətsiz şəkildə qalmasina meyllidir?!

Məgər İslamda hansı anlamlar və dəyərlər böyük qüdrətlərə maneədir ve İslam haqda yanlış sima təqdim etməkdə nə kimi mənafe güdürlər?! 

Mənim sizdən ilk istəyim budur ki, İslam əleyhinə olan bu alçaldıcı təbliğat barədə sual verib cavab alasınız.

Burada sizdən soruşmaq istəyirəm ki, özünüz indiyə qədər müsəlmanların quranına müraciət etmisinizmi? 

İslam peyğəmbərinin təlimlərini, insani və əxlaqi dərslərini mütaliə etmisinizmi?

İndiyə kimi İslam peyğəmbəri barəsində mediadan əlavə, digər mənbələrdən məlumat əldə etmisinizmi? 

Heç özünüzdən soruşmusuzmu ki, həmin İslam necə və hansı dəyərlər əsasında əsrlər boyu dünyanın ən böyük elmi və ideoloji sivilizasiyasının əsasını qoymuş və ən savadlı alim və mütəfəkkirləri yetişdirmişdir?

Carta Aberta à juventude da Europa e América do Norte

Os últimos acontecimentos em França e outros similares ocorridos em alguns países ocidentais convenceram-me a falar-vos diretamente acerca deles. Eu dirijo-me a vós, a juventude, não porque negligencie o papel dos vossos pais, mas antes porque o futuro das suas nações e países estarão nas suas mãos e também porque acho que o sentido da procura pela verdade é mais premente e vigoroso nos vossos corações.

Eu não me dirijo aos vossos políticos nem aos estadistas nesta carta porque acredito que estes separaram, de forma consciente, a rota da política do caminho da verdade e sentido do que é correto.

Gostaria de vos falar acerca do Islão, em especial acerca da imagem que dele vos é apresentada. Durante as últimas duas décadas, quase desde a desintegração da União Soviética, têm sido levadas a cabo várias tentativas no sentido de apresentar esta grande religião como um inimigo terrífico. A criação de um sentimento de horror e ódio e a sua utilização, infelizmente, é algo com tradição na história política do Ocidente.

Aqui não pretendo falar acerca das diferentes fobias com as quais as nações ocidentais têm sido, até ao momento, doutrinadas. Uma rápida análise de estudos críticos de história recentes levar-vos-ia a concluir que o tratamento hipócrito e dissimulado de outras nações e culturas pelos governos ocidentais é algo que tem vindo a ser censurado em novas historiografias.

As histórias dos Estados Unidos e Europa envergonham-se da escravatura, sentem-se constrangidas pelo seu período colonial e vexadas pela opressão de pessoas de cor e não-cristãos. Os vossos investigadores e historiadores encontram-se profundamente envergonhados pelos massacres cometidos em nome da religião entre católicos e protestantes ou em nome de questões de nacionalidade ou etnia durante as Primeira e Segunda Guerras Mundiais. Esta abordagem é admirável.

Ao mencionar uma parte desta longa lista não quero, com isto, reprovar os acontecimentos históricos; em vez disso gostaria de perguntar aos vossos intelectuais porque é que a consciência pública generalizada no Ocidente desperta e recupera os sentidos depois de um atraso de várias décadas ou séculos. Porque deveria esta revisão da consciência coletiva aplicar-se ao passado distante e não aos problemas atuais? Porque é que são feitas tentativas por forma a limitar a consciência pública face a um assunto tão importante como o tratamento da cultura e pensamento islâmicos?

Vocês sabem bem que a humilhação e a disseminação do ódio e o medo ilusório do “outro” têm constituído as bases comuns a todos os exploradores opressivos. Agora gostaria que vocês se perguntassem porque é que a velha política de discriminar a “fobia” e ódio tomou o Islão e os Muçulmanos como alvos com uma intensidade sem precedentes. Porque é que a estrutura de poder no mundo quer que o pensamento islâmico seja marginalizado e permaneça latente?

Quais os conceitos e valores do Islão perturbam os programas dos seus poderes e que interesses são salvaguardados aquando da distorção da imagem do Islão?

Assim, o meu primeiro pedido é: estudem e investiguem as intenções subjacentes a esta degradação generalizada da imagem do Islão.

O meu segundo pedido é que, em relação à abundância de preconceitos e campanhas de desinformação, tentem adquirir um conhecimento direto e em primeira mão acerca desta religião. A lógica correta implica que entendam a natureza e essência daquilo que usam para vos intimidar e daquilo do que querem que vos mantenham afastados.

Não faço questão que aceitem a minha leitura ou outra qualquer do Islão. O que eu quero dizer é: Não permitam que esta realidade dinâmica e efetiva do mundo atual vos seja dada a conhecer através de preconceitos e ressentimentos. Não lhes permitam que apresentem, de uma forma hipócrita, os seus próprios terroristas, por si recrutados, como representantes do Islão.

Recebam o conhecimento do Islão pelas suas fontes primárias e originais. Adquiram informação acerca do Islão através do Corão e da vida do seu grande Profeta. Gostaria de vos perguntar se já leram diretamente o Corão dos Muçulmanos. Estudaram os ensinamentos do Profeta do Islão e as suas doutrinas humanas e éticas? Algum dia receberam a mensagem do Islão proveniente de outras fontes que não os media?

Já vos haveis perguntado como e na base de que valores o Islão estabeleceu a maior civilização científica e intelectual do mundo e criou os mais distintos cientistas e intelectuais ao longo de vários séculos?

Gostaria que não permitissem que a criação de imagens ofensivas e pejorativas criasse um hiato emocional entre vós e a realidade, retirando-vos a possibilidade de fazerem um julgamento imparcial. Atualmente a comunicação social eliminou as fronteiras geográficas. Assim, não permitam que vos limitem com fronteiras fabricadas e mentais.

Embora ninguém possa, individualmente, preencher os vazios criados, cada um de vós pode construir uma ponte de pensamento e justiça por forma a iluminar-vos, a vós próprios, e ao ambiente que vos rodeia. Enquanto este desafio predeterminado entre o Islão e vós, a juventude, for indesejável, poderá, ainda assim, levantar novas questões nas vossas mentes curiosas e investigativas. As tentativas para encontrar as respostas a estas questões dar-vos-ão a oportunidade certa para descobrir novas verdades.

Por isso, não percam a oportunidade de ganhar um conhecimento apropriado, correto e idóneo do Islão para que, com sorte, devido ao vosso sentido de compromisso para com a verdade, as gerações futuras possam escrever a história desta atual interação entre o Islão e o Ocidente com uma consciência mais clara e menos ressentimentos.

Col Nome d’Iddio Clemente e Misericordioso

A tutti i giovani in Europa e negli Stati Uniti d’America,

gli avvenimenti accaduti recentemente in Francia e altri simili avvenuti in alcune nazioni occidentali mi hanno convinto a parlarvi direttamente al riguardo. Mi rivolgo a voi giovani non perchè trascuri i vostri genitori, ma piuttosto perchè il futuro delle vostre nazioni e paesi sarà nelle vostre mani, e perchè ritengo che il senso di ricerca della verità sia più vivo e vigoroso nei vostri cuori.

In questo scritto non mi rivolgo ai vostri politici e uomini di Stato, perché credo che essi abbiano consapevolmente separato il percorso della politica da quello della sincerità e verità.

Vorrei parlarvi dell’Islam, ed in particolar modo dell’immagine che vi viene presentata come Islam. Negli ultimi due decenni sono stati fatti innumerevoli tentativi – dopo la disintegrazione dell’Unione Sovietica - per collocare questa grande religione nella posizione di "nemico spaventoso". Suscitare un sentimento di orrore e odio e poi utilizzarlo è qualcosa che ha sfortunatamente una lunga storia nella politica dell’Occidente.

Qui non voglio affrontare le diverse fobie inculcate alle nazioni occidentali. Con un rapido sguardo agli studi critici di storia vedrete che il comportamento mendace e ingannatore con le altre nazioni e culture da parte dei governi occidentali è stato criticato nella nuova storiografia.

La storia dell’Europa e degli Stati Uniti si vergogna dello schiavismo, si imbarazza del periodo coloniale ed è a disagio per l’oppressione della gente di colore e non-cristiana. I vostri ricercatori e storici si vergognano profondamente delle stragi compiute in nome della religione tra Cattolici e Protestanti o delle rivalità nazionali ed etniche durante la Prima e la Seconda Guerra Mondiale. Questo approccio è ammirevole.

Nel menzionare una parte di questa lunga lista, il mio obiettivo non è quello di rimproverare la storia; vorrei piuttosto che voi chiediate ai vostri intellettuali perchè la coscienza pubblica in Occidente si deve svegliare sempre con un ritardo di decenni e a volte di secoli. Perchè la revisione della coscienza collettiva deve applicarsi al passato remoto e non ai problemi correnti? Perchè in una questione importante come il confronto con la cultura e il pensiero islamico si cerca di prevenire la formazione di una consapevolezza pubblica?

Voi sapete bene che l’umiliazione e la diffusione di odio e paura illusoria dell’”altro” sono stati la base comune di ogni sfruttamento oppressivo. Vorrei che vi chiedeste ora perchè stavolta la vecchia politica della diffusione di fobia e odio ha colpito l’Islam e i musulmani con un’intensità senza precedenti. Perchè la struttura del potere nel mondo di oggi vuole emarginare il pensiero islamico e disattivarlo? Quali concetti e principi nell’Islam disturbano i programmi delle superpotenze e quali interessi vengono salvaguardati all’ombra della distorsione dell’immagine dell’Islam? La mia prima richiesta è quindi: studiate e cercate i motivi dietro questo offuscamento dell’immagine dell’Islam.

La mia seconda richiesta è che, in reazione alla marea di pregiudizi e campagne propagandistiche, cerchiate di ottenere una conoscenza diretta e di prima mano di questa religione. La logica corretta richiede che almeno sappiate quale è l’essenza e natura di ciò da cui vi fanno fuggire e spaventare.

Io non insisto che voi accettiate la mia, o di chiunque altro, lettura dell’Islam. Quello che voglio dirvi è di non permettere che questa realtà dinamica ed efficace nel mondo di oggi venga presentata a voi attraverso intenzioni e scopi loschi. Non permettetegli di presentare ipocriticamente i terroristi da loro reclutati come rappresentanti dell’Islam.

Ricavate la conoscenza dell’Islam dalle sue fonti prime e originali. Ottenere informazioni sull’Islam attraverso il Corano e la vita del suo grande Profeta. Vorrei chiedervi se avete letto direttamente il Corano dei musulmani. Avete studiato gli insegnamenti del Profeta dell’Islam e le sue dottrine umane ed etiche? Avete ricevuto il messaggio dell’Islam da altra fonte oltre quella dei mass-media?

Vi siete chiesti come e sulla base di quali valori l’Islam ha stabilito la più grande civiltà scientifica e intellettuale del mondo ed elevato i più eminenti scienziati e intellettuali nel corso dei secoli?

Vorrei che non permettiate che, con la creazione di immagini false e odiose, sii crei un ostacolo emotivo e sensibile tra voi e la realtà, privandovi della possibilità di un giudizio imparziale. Oggi i mezzi di comunicazione hanno rimosso i confini geografici, non permettete quindi loro di assediarvi all’interno di confini fabbricati e virtuali.

Sebbene nessuno possa individualmente colmare i vuoti creati, ognuno di voi può costruire un ponte di pensiero ed equità sulle lacune per illuminare voi stessi e l’ambiente circostante. Anche se questa tensione pre-pianificata tra l’Islam e voi giovani è sgradevole, può sollevare nuove questioni nelle vostre menti curiose ed esploratrici. Cercare di trovare risposte a queste domande vi fornirà un’opportunità per scoprire nuove verità.

Non perdete quindi l’occasione di ottenere una comprensione appropriata, corretta e imparziale dell’Islam, in modo che forse, grazie al vostro senso di responsabilità verso la verità, le future generazioni possano scrivere la storia di questa corrente interazione tra Islam e Occidente con una coscienza chiara e minore disagio.

به عموم جوانان در اروپا و امریکای شمالی

حوادث اخیر در فرانسه و وقایع مشابه در برخی دیگر از کشورهای غربی مرا متقاعد کرد که درباره‌ی آنها مستقیماً با شما سخن بگویم. من شما جوانان را مخاطب خود قرار میدهم؛ نه به این علّت که پدران و مادران شما را ندیده می‌انگارم، بلکه به این سبب که آینده‌ی ملّت و سرزمینتان را در دستان شما میبینم و نیز حسّ حقیقت‌جویی را در قلبهای شما زنده‌تر و هوشیارتر می‌یابم. همچنین در این نوشته به سیاستمداران و دولتمردان شما خطاب نمیکنم، چون معتقدم که آنان آگاهانه راه سیاست را از مسیر صداقت و درستی جدا کرده‌اند. سخن من با شما درباره‌ی اسلام است و به‌طور خاص، درباره‌ی تصویر و چهره‌ای که از اسلام به شما ارائه میگردد. از دو دهه پیش به این سو ــ یعنی تقریباً پس از فروپاشی اتّحاد جماهیر شوروی ــ تلاشهای زیادی صورت گرفته است تا این دین بزرگ، در جایگاه دشمنی ترسناک نشانده شود. تحریک احساس رعب و نفرت و بهره‌گیری از آن، متأسّفانه سابقه‌ای طولانی در تاریخ سیاسی غرب دارد. من در اینجا نمیخواهم به «هراس‌های» گوناگونی که تاکنون به ملّتهای غربی القاء شده است، بپردازم. شما خود با مروری کوتاه بر مطالعات انتقادی اخیر پیرامون تاریخ، می‌بینید که در تاریخنگاری‌های جدید، رفتارهای غیر صادقانه و مزوّرانه‌ی دولتهای غربی با دیگر ملّتها و فرهنگهای جهان نکوهش شده است. تاریخ اروپا و امریکا از برده‌داری شرمسار است، از دوره‌ی استعمار سرافکنده است، از ستم بر رنگین‌پوستان و غیر مسیحیان خجل است؛ محقّقین و مورّخین شما از خونریزی‌هایی که به نام مذهب بین کاتولیک و پروتستان و یا به اسم ملیّت و قومیّت در جنگهای اوّل و دوّم جهانی صورت گرفته، عمیقاً ابراز سرافکندگی میکنند.

این به‌خودی‌خود جای تحسین دارد و هدف من نیز از بازگوکردن بخشی از این فهرست بلند، سرزنش تاریخ نیست، بلکه از شما میخواهم از روشنفکران خود بپرسید چرا وجدان عمومی در غرب باید همیشه با تأخیری چند ده ساله و گاهی چند صد ساله بیدار و آگاه شود؟ چرا بازنگری در وجدان جمعی، باید معطوف به گذشته‌های دور باشد نه مسائل روز؟ چرا در موضوع مهمّی همچون شیوه‌ی برخورد با فرهنگ و اندیشه‌ی اسلامی، از شکل‌گیری آگاهی عمومی جلوگیری میشود؟

شما بخوبی میدانید که تحقیر و ایجاد نفرت و ترس موهوم از «دیگری»، زمینه‌ی مشترک تمام آن سودجویی‌های ستمگرانه بوده است. اکنون من میخواهم از خود بپرسید که چرا سیاست قدیمی هراس‌افکنی و نفرت‌پراکنی، این‌بار با شدّتی بی‌سابقه، اسلام و مسلمانان را هدف گرفته است؟ چرا ساختار قدرت در جهان امروز مایل است تفکر اسلامی در حاشیه و انفعال قرار گیرد؟ مگر چه معانی و ارزشهایی در اسلام، مزاحم برنامه‌ی قدرتهای بزرگ است و چه منافعی در سایه‌ی تصویرسازی غلط از اسلام، تأمین میگردد؟ پس خواسته‌ی اوّل من این است که درباره‌ی انگیزه‌های این سیاه‌نمایی گسترده علیه اسلام پرسش و کاوش کنید.

خواسته‌ی دوم من این است که در واکنش به سیل پیشداوری‌ها و تبلیغات منفی، سعی کنید شناختی مستقیم و بی‌واسطه از این دین به دست آورید. منطق سلیم اقتضاء میکند که لااقل بدانید آنچه شما را از آن میگریزانند و میترسانند، چیست و چه ماهیّتی دارد. من اصرار نمیکنم که برداشت من یا هر تلقّی دیگری از اسلام را بپذیرید بلکه میگویم اجازه ندهید این واقعیّت پویا و اثرگذار در دنیای امروز، با اغراض و اهداف آلوده به شما شناسانده شود. اجازه ندهید ریاکارانه، تروریست‌های تحت استخدام خود را به عنوان نمایندگان اسلام به شما معرفی کنند. اسلام را از طریق منابع اصیل و مآخذ دست اوّل آن بشناسید. با اسلام از طریق قرآن و زندگی پیامبر بزرگ آن (صلّی‌الله‌علیه‌وآله‌و‌سلّم) آشنا شوید. من در اینجا مایلم بپرسم آیا تاکنون خود مستقیماً به قرآن مسلمانان مراجعه کرده‌اید؟ آیا تعالیم پیامبر اسلام (صلّی‌الله‌علیه‌وآله‌وسلّم) و آموزه‌های انسانی و اخلاقی او را مطالعه کرده‌اید؟ آیا تاکنون به جز رسانه‌ها، پیام اسلام را از منبع دیگری دریافت کرده‌اید؟ آیا هرگز از خود پرسیده‌اید که همین اسلام، چگونه و بر مبنای چه ارزشهایی طیّ قرون متمادی، بزرگترین تمدّن علمی و فکری جهان را پرورش داد و برترین دانشمندان و متفکّران را تربیت کرد؟

من از شما میخواهم اجازه ندهید با چهره‌پردازی‌های موهن و سخیف، بین شما و واقعیّت، سدّ عاطفی و احساسی ایجاد کنند و امکان داوری بیطرفانه را از شما سلب کنند. امروز که ابزارهای ارتباطاتی، مرزهای جغرافیایی را شکسته است، اجازه ندهید شما را در مرزهای ساختگی و ذهنی محصور کنند. اگر چه هیچکس به‌صورت فردی نمیتواند شکافهای ایجاد شده را پر کند، امّا هر یک از شما میتواند به قصد روشنگریِ خود و محیط پیرامونش، پلی از اندیشه و انصاف بر روی آن شکافها بسازد. این چالش از پیش طراحی شده بین اسلام و شما جوانان، اگر چه ناگوار است امّا میتواند پرسش‌های جدیدی را در ذهن کنجکاو و جستجوگر شما ایجاد کند. تلاش در جهت یافتن پاسخ این پرسش‌ها، فرصت مغتنمی را برای کشف حقیقت‌های نو پیش روی شما قرار میدهد. بنابراین، این فرصت را برای فهم صحیح و درک بدون پیشداوری از اسلام از دست ندهید تا شاید به یمن مسئولیّت‌پذیری شما در قبال حقیقت، آیندگان این برهه از تاریخ تعامل غرب با اسلام را با آزردگی کمتر و وجدانی آسوده‌تر به نگارش درآورند.

Millions of Mourners Marking Ashura Worldwide

These message highlight the real philosophy behind the historic and divine event of Ashura. 

Imam Khomeini the world religious and spiritual leader said at one of occasions in this regard as following:

“The Imam Hussein (PBUH) intention was to enjoin the good and forbid the evil. All deviations are due to the sins that are carried out and apart from the straight path of unity (of God) everything must see how the Imam (as) lived, understand his uprising and what he intended to do when he forbade the evil. One of his intentions was to defeat the corrupt rulers.”

Imam Khomeini said one of the objectives pursued by the grandson of the holy prophet of Islam was establishing a government and administration of good and pious people.  

 “The Master of Martyrs (as) sacrificed his life and his children. He sacrificed everything even though he knew what would happen. If one reads his sayings when he left Medina and in Mecca and when he left Mecca, one realizes that he knew very well what was awaiting him. Imam Hussein (PBUH) did not come to just see through a series of events, no, he came to take the government in his hands, and this is something to be proud of. This is because the government should be in the hands of someone who is like the Master of Martyrs (PBUH), or like his followers...”

The tyrant rulers from Umayyad dynasty had put Islam in danger due to their atheistic behavior and hostile actions towards Islam.

“The fact that the Master of Martyrs left Mecca at a time when pilgrims were coming to Mecca, shows that his uprising was a great political uprising. It was an Islamic-political uprising because the Imam (PBUH) was thinking of Islam and the Muslims, and of defeating the Umayyad dynasty. If it was not for this uprising, Islam would have been obliterated...”  

According to Imam Khomeini, the grandson of the holy prophet relieved Islam from clutches of dictators and evil rulers who were distorting the genuine teachings of divine religion.

“He was thinking of Islam and the Muslims and he did what he did, so that as a result of his jihad and sacrifice, in the future Islam would spread among people……else is evil. This evil and these sins must be obliterated.”

The founder of the Islamic Republic said that the pure teachings of Islam can be revived and kept alive by promoting the legacy of Imam Hussein (PBUH) and keeping alive the culture of Ashura for generations to come. The culture of Ashura will also prevent the human societies from falling into pits of social and moral decline.

Millions of mourners across the globe are commemorating Ashura, the tenth day of the lunar month of Muharram, on which the third Shia Imam, Imam Hussein (PBUH), and his companions were martyred in an unequal battle.

Black-clad mourners are taking to the streets and mosques in different parts of the world, including Iran, to honor the day, which marks a height of mourning ceremonies in Muharram.

Imam Hussein, the grandson of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), and 72 of his loyal companions, were martyred on Ashura in the battle of Karbala against the second Umayyad caliph, Yazid I, more than 14 centuries ago. Imam Hussein was killed after he refused to pledge allegiance to the tyrant ruler.

The mourning services have been in place worldwide since the beginning of Muharram.

The annual Muharram ceremonies, which have been performed for many centuries, symbolize the eternal and unwavering stance of truth against falsehood and humanity’s struggle against injustice, tyranny and oppression, the cause for which Imam Hussein was martyred.

Imam Khomeini Underscored Preserving of Ashura Legacy

The great Imam also called on the masses and scholars to take serious intellectual efforts to comprehend and promote the real philosophy behind the tragic event of Ashura.

Imam Khomeini insisted that the mourning ceremonies should be used to promote the genuine and pure teachings of Islam as conveyed by the holy prophet of Islam and his infallible successors.

The founder of the Islamic Republic explained the philosophy behind Imam Hussein's (peace be upon him) uprising which was to take a stance against aggression and tyranny. The grandson of the holy prophet also wanted to install and promote the Islamic principle of commanding for good and forbidding from evil.

Imam Khomeini in his historical speech on the eve of Muharram highlights the objectives achieved by the uprising of His Holiness, the Doyen of the Martyrs (‘a).

In the Name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful

His Holiness the Doyen of the Martyrs taught all of us what we must do in the face of oppression, in the face of injustice; in the face of tyrannical rulers. Despite, he knew ahead of time that the path he was treading was a path on which he must sacrifice all his companions, his family and sacrifice much-loved individuals for the sake of Islam and he knew of its aftermath. If this movement was not present—the movement of Husayn (‘a)—Yazīd and his followers would have been shown the abrogated image of Islam abrogated in a different light to the people. From the beginning, they had no faith in Islam, were envious, and despised the saints of Islam. In addition to defeating them with this sacrifice, after a while the Doyen of the Martyrs made the people to realize what a tragedy and what a sorrow had befallen them. Moreover, this same sorrow resulted in the decline of the Umayyad dynasty. In addition, he taught in the course of history that this was the true path. Do not be afraid of the numerical superiority; numbers are not important; it is the quality—the quality of the sacred struggle—it is that which does the job. It is possible that the individuals are many in numbers but in terms of quality, they are flawed or hollow. It is also possible that the individuals may be few in numbers but potent and honorable in terms of quality…

What is our duty on the eve of the month of Muharram al-Harām? What are the duties of the eminent theologians and the revered clergy? What are the duties of the rest of the strata of the nation in this month of Muharram? The Doyen of the Martyrs, his companions and household have taught the duties: sacrifice in the battlefield and propagation outside the battlefield. To the same extent that the sacrifice of His Holiness is valued in the presence of the Blessed and Almighty God; and has helped to move forward the movement of Husayn (s), the sermons of His Holiness Sajjād and Her Holiness Zaynab also have been effective to the same extent or almost to the same extent.

They taught us that opposite the tyrant, opposite a tyrannical rule, the women must not be afraid, the men must not fear. Her Holiness Zaynab confronted Yazīd; Her Holiness Zaynab (s) stood up and humiliated him in a manner that the Umayyad had not been humiliated before in that fashion. The speeches that they delivered on the way, in Kūfah and Damascus and the sermon that His Holiness Sajjād (‘a) delivered and made it evident that the issue was not one of confrontation of wrong with right; meaning that they had been misrepresented. They wanted to introduce the Doyen of the Martyrs as a person that was resisting the rulers of the time—the Caliph of the Prophet of God. His Holiness Sajjād revealed the truth at a gathering and so did Her Holiness Zaynab…

All the speakers must pay attention to this and we should all be focused on this objective that if the uprising of His Holiness, the Doyen of the Martyrs (‘a) was not existed, today, we, too could not have been victorious. All this unity of expression, which was the source of our victory, was because of these mourning and grieving ceremonies and these propagation gatherings grounded for the promotion of Islam. The Doyen of the oppressed made available the means for our nation that without being an inconvenience for the nation, the people congregate. Islam has made the mosques to be trenches and they became a means for the nation so that from these very mosques, from these very congregations, from these very gatherings, from these very Fridays and social gatherings, all the affairs that would move Islam forward and carrying out of the uprising were facilitated. From his actions, the Doyen of the Martyrs has especially taught us that what should be the position on the battlefield and what should be the position outside the battlefield; and how must those who are armed combatants should engage in combat; and how those, who are providing backing for the frontlines, engage in preaching and publicizing. The way and mode of the struggle in the sense that how one should engage in combat as a smaller group versus a large gathering; The mode and the way may be adopted for the uprising with a limited number against an oppressive regime that has a hold everywhere. His Holiness, the Doyen of the Martyrs, his honorable household and his noble offspring taught us and nation these matters and what must be done after the occurrence of such tragedy. Should a person surrender? Should one compromise while engaged in holy struggle? Alternatively, stand should be taken in similar way of Zaynab (s) as subsequent to the great tragedy of such kind that “tragedies appear insignificant before it” resisted and confronted the faithless and spoke against the hypocrisy. She spoke on the issue wherever it was possible for her and so did His Holiness ‘Alī ibn Husayn (‘a) despite his indisposition that he did preach in a preeminent way…

You all the clergymen that are in the country have a duty to safeguard this blessing of God, this Divine gift and be grateful for it, and show their gratitude by propagating it. What the Doyen of the Martyrs carried out, the ideology that he had, the path that he traversed, and the victory that he attained for Islam after martyrdom, should be made clear for the people. They should all be made to understand that sacred struggle in the path of Islam is what he had done. He knew that he could not confront such a tyrant who possessed everything in the material sense with a small group numbering less than a hundred persons but he knew that it was the martyrdom that made Islam victorious and revived it…

Gentlemen, you must propagate! It is the month of Muharram. Keep this Muharram alive. Whatever that we have is from this Muharram and these gatherings. Our propagation gatherings are also from Muharram; from the slaying of the Doyen of the Martyrs and his martyrdom. We must approach to the depth of this martyrdom and pay attention to its impact in the world and emphasize that his influence pervades even today. If these eulogizing meetings, sermonizing, mourning, and grieving gatherings were not present, our country would not have triumphed. All revolted under the banner of Imām Husayn—may God’s peace be upon him. Now also you are witnessing that all of them are enthused at the frontline for the love of Imām Hussayn whenever they show them at the frontlines. Honorable propagators, the eminent theologians and the respected sermonizers must determine the issues of the day including the political, social issues and the duty of the people at such a time when we are faced with so many enemies in the gatherings that are organized during the months of Muharram and Safar and the rest of the times. They must make the people to understand that we are in the middle of the way and we must, God willing, traverse the path until the end of the way. If we move ahead with the order that has existed so far, we shall ultimately attain total victory. Our country and its people have by the grace of God, been ready with this order. However, we must not become lethargic…

کلمه ((Armagddon)) ((هَرمَجِدُّون)) واژه ای است اصلاً یونانی که بنا به تعریف واژه نامه های آمریکایی همچون فرهنگ ((وبستر)) به معنی نبرد نهایی حق و باطل در آخرالزمان است. همچنین این واژه نام شهری است در منطقه عمومی شام که بنا به آنچه در باب شانزدهم مکاشفات یوحنا، در عهد جدید آمده است، جنگی عظیم در آنجا رخ می دهد و مرحله حاضر از زندگی بشر در آن زمان پایان می یابد. به عبارتی نبرد مذکور، مقدمه تحولی بزرگ است که سرنوشت نهایی آدمی بر روی کره زمین به آن بستگی دارد. 

حادثه شریف ظهور، حادثه ای بزرگ است و قدرت های بزرگ جهان، سیاست خارجی خود را بر مبنای حوادثی که پیش از آن رخ می دهد جهت داده و نقشه های نظامی خود را به شکلی سامان داده اند که آمادگی های لازم برای این حادثه در آن ملحوظ باشند. این در حالی است که مؤسسات دینی و رسانه های این دولت ها نیز، مردم خود را برای پیشباز این حادثه آماده می سازند. 

این مؤسسات دینی به همراه رسانه های دیداری و شنیداری این دولت ها، از سال های دهه هشتاد میلادی مردم خود را به ایمان جمعی به وقوع حادثه ای بزرگ در سرزمین شام که به نبردی هسته ای خواهد انجامید توجه داده اند. این مؤسسات پیوسته مردم خود را به ایمان به این نکته فرا می خوانند که به زودی لشکری از دشمنان مسیح که بدنه اصلی آن از میلیون ها نظامی تشکیل یافته، از عراق حرکت می کند و پس از گذشتن از رود فرات - که در آن زمان به خشکی گراییده است - به سوی قدس رهسپار می شود. اما نیرو های مؤمن به مسیح، راه این لشکر را سد کرده و همگی در آرماگدون با یکدیگر برخورد خواهند کرد و در این مکان است که درگیری اتفاق خواهد افتاد. صخره ها ذوب می شوند... دیوار ها بر زمین فرو می غلتند... پوست تن انسان ها در حالی که ایستاده اند ذوب شده و میلیون ها نفر از بین می روند... و این نبردی نهایی و هسته ای است. 

سپس مسیح برای بار دوم از جایگاه بلند خود بر زمین فرود می آید و پس از چندی زمام رهبری جهان را در دست گرفته و صلح جهانی را برقرار می کند. او دولت صلح را بر زمین نو و زیر آسمانی تازه بنا می کند و این مهم را از مرکز فرماندهی خود در قدس عملی می سازد. 

یک بررسی انجام گرفته از سوی مؤسسه ((تلسن)) که در اکتبر سال 1985 م. به نشر رسیده است؛ نشان می دهد که در حال حاضر 61 میلیون آمریکایی در انتظار واقعه آرماگدون گوش خوابانده اند و این در حالی است که ذکر مؤسسات دینی و ایستگاهای رادیو تلوزیونی که به این مهم پرداخته اند؛ در این مجال میسر نیست.  

مؤسسات دینی آمریکایی این نکته را روشن ساخته اند که سپاهی که از عراق به سوی قدس رهسپار خواهد شد، بنا به پیشگویی حرقیال ( فصل 38 و 39 ) از نظامیانی از عراق،ایران،لیبی،سودان و قفقاز در جنوب روسیه تشکیل می شوند. مدارس انجیلی در آمریکا بر پایه این تحلیل که واقعه آرماگدون تنها حادثه ای است که بازگشت دوباره مسیح را به زمین ممکن می سازد... و این واقعه ای بسیار نزدیک است، به تبلیغ این دیدگاه پرداخته اند. 

آرماگدونی که این عده از آن سخن می گویند، همان حادثه عظیمی است که پیش از ظهور مهدی علیه السلام رخ خواهد داد، همان حادثه بزرگی که ائمّه ما علیهم السلام، نام قرقیسیا را بر آن اطلاق کرده اند. ائمه ما، از این نکته خبر داده اند که میلیون ها نظامی از آمریکا،اروپا،روسیه،ترکیه،مصر و دول مغرب عربی به اضافه سربازانی از سرزمین شام شامل کشور های سوریه،اردن،لبنان،فلسطین و اسرائیل همگی در ناحیه ای در این محدوده تحت عنوان قرقیسیا با یکدیگر برخورد کرده و پس از حصول درگیری، این سفیانی است که همگی را چونان کشتزاری درو شده در هم می کوبد و از صحنه ی نبرد پیروز بیرون می آید. در صحیحه میسّر از امام باقر علیه السلام نقل است که فرمود: (( ای میسّر! از این جا تا قرقیسیا چقدر راه است ؟ )) عرض کردم: (( همین نزدیکی ها در ساحل فرات قرار دارد )) سپس فرمودند: (( اما در این ناحیه اتفاقی خواهد افتاد که از زمانی که خداوند متعال آسمان ها و زمین را آفریده بی سابقه بوده، چنان که تا وقتی که آسمان ها و زمین برپا هستند هم، واقعه ای همچون آن اتفاق نخواهد افتاد... سفره ای است که درندگان زمین و پرندگان آسمان از آن سیر می شوند)) 1 امثال این روایات از امام صادق علیه السلام و سایر ائمه نقل شده است. 

به هر حال مؤسسات دینی انجیلی آمریکا و اروپا آنچه را روانشناسان گفته اند و در قضیه بازگشت دوباره مسیح به زمین پس از حادثه آرماگدون، به کار بسته و به این گفته قائل اند که بی گمان امکان تحقق هر نوع پیشگویی در وهله نخست به ایمان مردم به َآن و به پا فشاری شان بر ضرورت به کرسی نشستن آن و همچنین به شمار نفرات آن ها و شمار نفرات کسانی بستگی دارد که رهبری کاروان تبلیغاتی به راه افتاده برای تحقق بخشیدن به آن پیشگویی را بر عهده دارند.2

Aux jeunes d'Europe et d'Amérique du Nord

Les événements récents survenus en France ainsi que d'autres faits similaires dans certains pays occidentaux m'ont convaincu de vous écrire ce message. J'ai choisi de m'adresser à vous directement non pas par une volonté délibérée d'ignorer vos parents, mais parce que le futur de vos pays est entre vos mains, et que la quête et recherche de la vérité anime davantage vos cœurs. De même, je ne cherche pas ici à m'adresser aux responsables politiques car je pense qu'ils ont, de façon consciente, séparés les chemins de la politique de ceux de l'honnêteté et de la franchise.

Le sujet que je souhaite aborder ici avec vous est l'islam, et plus spécifiquement le visage qui vous en est présenté. Depuis deux décennies, c'est-à-dire peu après l'effondrement de l'Union soviétique, tout a été fait pour présenter cette religion comme un ennemi qu'il faudrait craindre. L'attisement des sentiments de peur et de haine et leur utilisation dans des buts peu louables ont malheureusement un long passif dans l'histoire politique de l'Occident. Il n'est pas question ici d'évoquer les phobies diverses qui ont pu être véhiculées au sein des nations occidentales. En parcourant rapidement les études historiques actuelles, vous pouvez vous-mêmes vous rendre compte que les recherches historiographiques récentes effectuent une critique conséquente du rôle des Etats occidentaux dans la falsification de l'image des autres nations et cultures. L'histoire de l'Europe et des Etats-Unis est marquée par la honte de la période de l'esclavage puis celle de la colonisation, ainsi que par tout un ensemble d'oppressions et d'injustices commises vis-à-vis des personnes de couleur ou de croyances différentes. Vos chercheurs et vos historiens ont consacré de nombreuses études critiques aux effusions de sang commises au nom de la religion lors des dissensions entre catholiques et protestants, ou encore au nom de la nation ou de l'ethnie durant les Première et Seconde Guerres mondiales.

Le fait de reconnaître de tels faits mérite en soi d'être loué. Je ne souhaite cependant pas ici dresser un inventaire de cette longue liste d'événements regrettables, mais plutôt vous inviter à poser à vos intellectuels la question suivante : pourquoi, en Occident, la conscience collective se réveille toujours avec plusieurs décennies, si ce n'est plusieurs siècles de retard ? Pourquoi l'examen de cette conscience collective doit-il être exclusivement tourné vers des réalités appartenant à un passé lointain, et passer sous silence les questions actuelles ? Pourquoi cherche-t-on à empêcher la formation d'une réflexion générale au sujet d'une question aussi importante que celle de la façon d'aborder et de traiter la culture et la pensée musulmanes ?

Vous savez bien que l'humiliation et le fait de susciter des sentiments de haine et de peur vis-à-vis de "l'autre" constituent le terreau commun à l'ensemble des entreprises de domination fondées sur l'oppression. Je souhaite maintenant que vous vous demandiez pourquoi cette fois-ci, la vieille politique de fomentation de la peur et de la haine a pris l'islam et les musulmans comme objectif, et ce avec une intensité sans précédent. Pourquoi dans le monde actuel, le système du pouvoir souhaite-t-il reléguer la pensée islamique à la marge et la confiner à un rôle passif ? L'islam comprendrait-il des pensées et valeurs qui viendraient contrarier les ambitions des grandes puissances ? Quels intérêts dessert la diffusion de représentations erronées au sujet de l'islam ? Mon premier souhait est donc que vous vous interrogiez au sujet des éléments motivant une telle diabolisation massive de l'islam.

Mon second souhait est qu'en réaction aux nombreux a priori et jugements négatifs, vous essayez de mieux connaître cette religion, et ce de façon directe et sans intermédiaire. Une logique saine implique au moins que vous sachiez ce qu'est exactement cette réalité que l'on cherche à vous faire fuir et que l'on vous présente sous un jour menaçant. Je ne vous invite pas forcément à accepter la façon dont j'envisage l'islam ou telle conception particulière à son sujet, mais je vous incite à refuser que cette réalité dynamique et influente du monde actuel vous soit présentée au travers du filtre de desseins politiques peu louables. Ne permettez pas que les terroristes souvent issus de ces mêmes pouvoirs qui prétendent les dénoncer vous soient présentés comme étant les représentants de l'islam. Essayez de connaître l'islam à travers ses sources authentiques et de première main, à travers le Coran et la vie de son Prophète. La question mérite d'être posée : avez-vous déjà consulté directement le livre sacré des musulmans ? Avez-vous étudié les enseignements humains et moraux dispensés par le Prophète de l'islam ? Avez-vous déjà pris connaissance du message de l'islam à travers une source autre que celle des médias ? Vous êtes-vous déjà demandé sur quelle base et selon quelles valeurs ce même islam que l'on diabolise a pu être à la source de l'une des plus grandes civilisations du monde, et constituer le berceau des plus grands penseurs, et ce pendant de nombreux siècles ?

Je vous demande de ne pas permettre que les portraits dénigrants que l'on peut faire de cette grande religion dressent des barrières psychologiques entre cette réalité et vous, vous privant ainsi toute possibilité de jugement impartial. Dans un monde où les moyens de communication ont brisé les barrières géographiques, ne permettez pas que l'on enserre votre esprit dans des limites construites de toutes pièces. Bien que personne ne puisse à lui seul combler le fossé créé entre ces a priori et la réalité, chacun d'entre vous peut, en s'efforçant personnellement de distinguer le vrai du faux, contribuer à créer des ponts fondés sur une pensée juste et libre ; ce sont ces ponts qui contribuent à réduire de tels fossés. Malgré les difficultés inhérentes à un tel défi, cet effort de pensée peut contribuer à faire naître de nouvelles interrogations dans vos esprits ayant soifs de vérité. Et vos efforts en vue d'obtenir une réponse à ces questions constituent en soi une occasion pour découvrir de nouvelles vérités. Par conséquent, ne laissez pas passer cette occasion de parvenir à une compréhension plus juste et exempte de préjugés de l'islam. Ainsi, peut-être, grâce à votre sens de la responsabilité vis-à-vis de ce qui est vrai et juste, les futures générations pourront se pencher sur cette période d'interactions de l'Occident avec l'islam avec une conscience plus apaisée qu'auparavant.
